Chung Seoyoung at Keelung Museum of Art's 《The 25 Hour-Days》

We are pleased to announce that artist Chung Seoyoung will participate in the exhibition 《The 25 Hour-Days》 held at the Keelung Museum of Art in Taiwan.

As a Representative of the Korean contemporary art scene, Chung brings the immaterial elements and unrealistic realm into sculpture, raising fundamental questions about the nature of sculpture itself. Chung’’s work <2013, 4 o’clock> (2013), shown in this exhibition, is a sound performance that illustrates how the form of sculpture is generated through a continuous interaction with the external world—encompassing the body, performance, sound, and time—creating a dynamic tension. This process transforms the performative time of the sculptor and the existence of the sculpture into a continuous spatiotemporal experience.(excerpted from Ilmin Museum,《The Speed of the Large, the Small, and the Wide》, 2013) By challenging our perception that traditional sculpture belongs to a static and physical realm, Jeong’s work questions the conventions of our senses and logic, generating intriguing resonances within the context of the 《The 25 Hour-Days》 exhibition.

《The 25 Hour-Days》 will take place from September 26th to December 1st.
